I produced and Mc’d The Magnificent Women Speaking event…
In 2023, in response and recognition of the fantastic women in my local community I produced and MC’d Magnificent Women which we held in the beautiful Talbot Hotel in Malton, North Yorkshire during #internationalwomensweek. The event brought together an audience of more than 100 women who came to hear from inspirational professional speakers, business women and voices from the community. I brought schools, leaders and young people from the community together for the production and was able to provide free tickets to aspiring women through a pay it forward scheme. This event sparked interest to create more magnificent events across the year.
Speaking and performance consultancy with Strata….
As part of their #mystratastory project I was brought in to consult on the speaking and performance in this brilliantly creative concept. I worked with the managing director on her speech to the company and coached the story contributors on their speaking and performance. An interview with BBC Radio
I’m sometimes asked to give my perspective on public speaking on BBC Radio 5live and BBC Radio York. We discuss what it takes to be a good public speaker and the speaking and communication skills of our world leaders including our prime minister Rishi Sunak and New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern. Coaching and Boxing partnership with Training Cave…
Training Cave is a boxing gym which strives to serve the community with diverse, high quality training and coaching. In March 2023, I collaborated with director, Jack Sunderland to deliver a women’s only mindset and boxing event aimed at empowering women. For the first time, Jack was the only man in a gym full of women including the local, MP, two police officers, two professional boxers and me, his coach!
